Are you ready to get some ink? Or you prefer to have your skin pierced? Here are some things you should know about getting tattooed/pierced at the Tattoo Circus:
Do I need a reservation? No, you don’t need a reservation. There will be a desk at the Plantage Doklaan where you can check the artists portfolios, choose the one you like and sign up for your tattoo/piercing. If you want to have a look beforehand, click here for the Tattoo Artist gallery.
When can I sign up for my tattoo/piercing? The registration desk will be open from 11:00 until 21:00 the days of the festival and there is a limited amount of spots so we advise you to come early.
How much time do I have for my tattoo? We want to give as many people as possible the chance to get a tattoo or a piercing so there will be a timelimit of 3 hours per tattoo. Because of that we advise you to bring a sketch or idea that helps the tattoo artist to design your tattoo.
How much does a tattoo or a piercing cost? The Tattoo Circus is entirely organized by volunteers, that means that nobody gets any money out it, neither the organizers, nor the tattoo artist. Because of that and because we want to offer the chance to get affordable tattoos, the prices will be lower than in a shop or in other tattoo conventions. Tattoo artists or piercers will give you a price indication on the spot.

You have to be at least 18 years old to get tattooed/pierced at the Tattoo Circus Amsterdam.
The Tattoo Circus Amsterdam is GGD/Health Department certified so all the hygiene standards are strictly followed.
